What is complex rehab technology?
Complex rehab technology products and services include medically necessary, individually configured manual and power wheelchair systems. This may include adaptive seating systems, advanced positioning systems, and other mobility devices that require extensive evaluation, fitting, configuration, adjustment, and programming.
Will I see a trained professional?
Yes. MRS Homecare Mobility employs Complex Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers (ATP/CRTS), which is the industry standard in excellence for a provider. Each ATP/CRTS must undergo extensive training and maintain yearly minimums for continuing education. You can rest easy knowing that once a member of the MRS Homecare Mobility team begins working with you, you will stick with that person from start to finish. At MRS Homecare Mobility we build relationships, not wheelchairs.
What role does my doctor play in complex rehabilitation technology?
You will need to see your physician regarding your new power or manual wheelchair. From there a call to MRS Homecare Mobility does the rest. Our ATP/CRTS will meet with you, your physician, and an Occupational/Physical Therapist to determine the best course of treatment for your specific needs. Our ATP/CRTS will then configure and design a custom system to fit your situation.
What diagnoses require complex rehab technology?
Spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, ALS, multiple sclerosis, myelopathy, amputation, paralysis, or paresis and any other disease or disability that may require the use of individually configured products or services. If you have any questions about your condition or to learn if complex rehab technology is for you, feel free to give us a call for a free consultation.
What needs does complex rehab technology address?
The goal of any complex rehab technology program is to address the immediate and future medical and functional needs of the patient. These needs may include Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), functional mobility, positioning, pressure relief, and communication. At MRS Homecare Mobility our goal is to help you accomplish these tasks as safely and independently as possible in all environments that you are expected to encounter.
